It is compatible with any PCB thickness starting from 1.6 mm, an advantage for thick backplanes.
Binder-USA announced the addition of shielded connectors with screw termination to its Series 768 M8 Euro-style connectors. These connectors allow for shielded connections that protect analog and sensitive signals from EMI interference in industrial Ethernet or Fieldbus networks. The shielding of the connectors is simplified with the use of an iris-shaped spring.
Phoenix Contact announced its PLC-RELAY, a high-current terminal block relay with plug-in SPDT contacts for applications requiring a nominal current rating up to 10A or those that need to improve the electrical life of the contacts. Measuring 14 mm wide, the relay’s contacts are larger than a standard 6 mm terminal block relay. These contacts help to extend service intervals two to three times longer than the standard relay, while adding security for uncertain load conditions at the same time. They are a reliable alternative to ice cube relays, and they feature a plug-in bridging

With an EIA 1008 case size footprint of 2.5 mm × 2.0 mm and a maximum height of 1.0 mm, the devices facilitate the design of thinner, higher-performance, multifunction cell phones, digital cameras and other battery-powered portable electronic equipment.
Datatronic Distribution, Inc. introduced its DR371-1 and DR371-2 series of radial leaded, molded inductors that combine high performance over a wide inductance range in challenging EMI operating environments with rugged packaging, ROHS compliant lead material and long-life. Depending on the specific model, the inductors feature an inductance range from 0.22 mH to 33 mH. The DCR is specified from 0.59 mohm to 42 mohm maximum over a maximum current rating from 5A to 38A.
Penn Engineering introduced SI threaded inserts that provide strong, reusable metal threads in plastics to allow for subsequent access to assemblies when required. These brass, stainless steel, or aluminum threaded inserts serve as practical alternatives to permanent joining methods, such as adhesives or rivets. Components can be removed and re-attached quickly and easily utilizing mating hardware. Applications include computer and terminal boards; automotive and aerospace components; electronics, medical, and communications equipment
Z-Communications, Inc. announced its model CRO2935B-LF lead free, RoHS compliant, coaxial resonator oscillator in S band (2,850 MHz to 3,020 MHz) that features ultra low phase noise performance of –109 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset. It offers typical tuning sensitivity of 23 MHz/V, and it provides 0 dBm output power (typical) at 8V DC supply while drawing 26 mA (typical) over the extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced its PE60 power panel potentiometer with a cermet element that features a 6-W power rating at 50°C. With US and EU bushing threads and a fully sealed package, it is intended for industrial and aeronautic control panel and heavy-duty control applications in end products such as cockpits, trucks and tractors, HVAC systems, welding machines, tooling machines, field and mine equipment, and water-resistant equipment.
The MAE brand HN Series hybrid stepper motors, from AMETEK, feature low detent torque to holding torque ratios promoting smooth operation and the fine positioning capability required for microstep operation. These motors can provide accurate open-loop control and high-speed operation suitable for a wide range of positioning applications. The standard size 34 hybrid steppers are available in three models
Optimized for applications such as wideband MIL/Aero and defense communications, Class A and A/B amplifiers, and wireless broadband applications, Cree’s 48V silicon carbide (SiC) RF MESFETs have desirable properties compared to silicon or gallium arsenide, including higher breakdown voltage, higher saturated electron drift velocity, and higher thermal conductivity. The 10W CRF24010 has a 15dB gain and junction-to-case thermal resistance of
Kopin Corp. announced its fingernail-size, color CyberDisplay SVGA LVS microdisplay that measures 0.44" diagonal. This display shrinks the full-color pixel size to 11.25µm square, and it exhibits optimally sharp color images. It is a transmissive LCD display with the same architecture as LCD flat panel TVs, but with ultra-high pixel densities.
Power Technology, Inc. introduced its high power blue and violet laser diodes for use with its PM laser module, 405 nm at 60 mW, allowing additional selection variety. These diodes can be useful in most applications that use Argon-Ion, Helium Cadmium and blue Nd:YAG lasers such as fluorescence, confocal microscopy, high-resolution printing, flow cytometry and Raman spectroscopy.
Avago Technologies announced its 850 nm VCSEL-based 10 Gb/s AFBR-700SDZ SFP+ (small form-factor pluggable) optical transceiver with digital monitoring interface (DMI) for communications, industrial and consumer applications.
