Ultrasound Pulser for Non-destructive Testing

CSR launched its sixth generation of BlueCore silicon for Bluetooth. BlueCore6 includes both industry leading radio performance and power consumption, as well as full support for the latest version of the Bluetooth specification (v2.1+EDR), according to the company. Included is the company’s AuriStream technology, which helps Bluetooth handle voice traffic.

Xilinx added Spartan-3A DSP devices to its XtremeDSP portfolio of products for signal processing applications. The Spartan-3A DSP low power (LP) devices are said to provide a 50 percent static power savings, and a 70 percent savings while in suspend mode, compared to the standard devices and are available in industrial rated grades.

Panasonic added a 1/2AA-sized poly carbonmonofluoride lithium battery to its line of lithium primary cylindrical cells. The BR 1/2AA provides reliable power at extreme operating temperatures from -40°C to +100°C. Their extreme temperature tolerance, low self-discharge rate, and compact design make these cells suitable for difficult field applications, including meter monitoring, RFID, and electronic toll collection.
