Cicoil's Arctic Grade Silicone Cables are designed for extremely cold temperatures (-65°C), punishing weather, and severe operating conditions. Ideal in land, air and marine equipment, these Halogen-free and Flame Resistant (UL 94 V-0) cables are an excellent alternative to PVC, Neoprene and Polyurethane cables that do not match the reliability of silicone in sub-zero temperatures.
Cicoil's exclusive shock absorbing silicone encapsulation needs no external conduit for protection, retains flexibility and will not deform, wear or crack due to long term exposure to intense cold environments. In addition, the ultra-durable silicone is "self-healing" from small punctures and cable jacket damage can easily be repaired in the field.
Unlike other outdoor cables that become stiff and brittle when utilized in frigid climates, Cicoil's unique silicone cables are unaffected when exposed to hurricane-force winds, snow/ice storms, sea ice, vibration, salt water submersion, permafrost, high heat (+260C), sea ice, weld spark, physical shock, operational stress, high levels of UV rays & ozone, de-icing fluids and most chemicals.
Cicoil's proprietary extrusion process allows multiple wires, power conductors, shielded pairs, coax conductors, tubing , and other design elements like Cicoil's patented StripMount fastening strip to be placed in a single flat cable, precisely controlling the inner component spacing, jacket thickness and the overall cable shape. Incorporating multiple elements into a single, compact flat cable allows for a tighter bend radius, space savings, greater current carrying capacity, noise reduction and longer operation & flex life.
Standard "off the shelf" single conductor, multi-conductor and hybrid cables are available from stock in continuous lengths, cut to order, or as assemblies with connectors of your choice, 100% tested and inspected. For applications that require abrasion and adhesion resistance, Cicoil offers anti-friction coating options by request.
