Reed Sensors Tout High Switching Power

electronic introduced its MK26 line of reed sensors, which feature extremely high switching power in combination with a compact design. Measuring 32 mm x 10 mm x 6 mm, the sensor consumes no power, and is suitable for use in alarm systems, liquid level sensors with floats, position detection, end position sensing in door and window controls, and heating, air conditioning, ventilation (HVAC) applications. The magnetically operated MK26 reed proximity sensors are designed for screw mounting, with the sensor mounted on a fixed surface and the actuating magnet on the moving surface. Switching power ranges from 0 W to 100 W, and switching voltage ranges from 0 V to 100 VDC). The sensor is available in four Ampere-turns (AT) ranges (B, C, D, E), and three contact forms, A (normally open), B (normally closed), and C (changeover). Numerous cable and connector options are available, as well as a high power switch option in all three contact forms.
