Miniature WITEK Enclosures Include Color-Coding Rings

Thu, 12/08/2011 - 6:55am
Miniature WITEK EnclosuresThe popular 'WITEK' enclosures range, from TEKO, is now available with color-coding rings in seven different colors. As a result, different versions of the electronics can be color-coded for easy identification, or the colored rings can be used to match existing brand colours.

The colored rings are captured on the recessed sides of the ‘WITEK’ enclosures and are molded in soft-touch TPU plastic in blue, yellow, green, Red, dark grey, light grey and black.

The ‘WITEK’ enclosures have been designed for small portable electronic devices, especially those with cable connections. Typical applications will include cable nodes, testing devices, USB interfaces and peripherals, medical equipment and handheld instrument and RF remote control equipment.

‘WITEK’ enclosures are manufactured using the latest dual shot molding technique combining ABS (UL94 HB) with ‘soft-touch’ TPU in two color combinations of white/light grey and black/dark gray. The attractive modern design features a deep base section and shallow snap-on lid. Mounting pillars are provided in the base section for PCBs and assemblies.

The cases are offered in two standard sizes: 3.15” x 59.15” x 0.87” and 3.54” x 1.81” x 0.78”. The side walls are recessed on all four sides of the case to allow for easy location of the colored rings, connectors, LEDs or other controls.

As a result, it is possible to simply drop a pre-assembled PCB, with the connectors already fitted, into the case. All that is required is a rectangular slot in the side wall, rather than a special cut out. Prices start from $11 for the enclosures.

TEKO can supply the ‘WITEK’ enclosures with additional holes for push-buttons, connectors and controls etc., plus silk-screen printed legends and logos. The cases can also be molded in alternative colors.
