Polymer Tantalum Cap Series Touts Greater Capacitance in Smaller Form Factors

The T528 Low equivalent series resistance (ESR)/ equivalent series inductance (ESL) Series, T521 High Voltage Series and T520 Polymer Tantalum Series all feature new product enhancements. The T528 Series introduces a newly constructed 5 m-Ohm Z case (EIA Case Code 7343-17) design, presented as reducing overall impedance for high switch frequency decoupling applications such as microprocessor decoupling. The reduced impedance of the 5 m-Ohm design allows circuit designers to lower total capacitor piece counts without compromising performance, according to the company. Enhancements to the T521 High Voltage Polymer Tantalum Series include 16 V and 35V  offerings in a number of capacitance values. The T521 Series is presented as a popular solution for circuits that require higher voltages than are typically available in standard polymer tantalum devices and higher performance over traditional tantalum capacitors. With its enhanced voltage derating and low ESR values, the T521 Series delivers increased performance and reliability within a smaller package size compared to currently available capacitor options.
