Oriel introduced the Sol3A 12 x 12 Solar Simulator. The Class AAA solar simulator product family features a 12 in. x 12 in. output beam and uses a single 1600W xenon arc lamp with optical design which is capable of meeting spectral match, non-uniformity of irradiance, and temporal stability performance criteria. The spectral correction filter can withstand high intensity from the lamp without changing spectral properties. The Sol3A is appropriate for photovoltaic (PV) applications that require constant-wave (CW) light source. A black, non-reflective finish minimizes stray light and incorporates versatile captive screws for alignment, lamp replacement, and filter changes. Temperature sensors and safety interlocks provide protection from UV light. The model allows for larger samples, and the optical design delivers maximum spatial uniformity.
