Crystek’s CVCO55CXT-5800-5800 Coaxial Resonator Oscillator (CRO) employs frequency doubling, 2X fundamental technology to reach new performance levels of low phase noise and harmonics, while minimizing current consumption in the process. The CRO operates at 5800 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5 VDC to 4.5 VDC. This coaxial VCO features a typical phase noise of -100 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset and has excellent linearity. The model CVCO55CXT-5800-5800 is packaged in the industry-standard 0.5-in. x 0.5-in. SMD package and exhibits an output power of +3 dBm typ. into a 50-Ohm load with a supply of +8.0 VDC and a typical current consumption of 35 mA. Pulling and Pushing are both minimized to 1.0 MHz and 3.0 MHz/V, respectively. Second harmonic suppression is -30 dBc typical. The CRO is appropriate in digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems, and base stations.
