PoL DC-DC Converters Feature Wide Input Voltage Range
The 6 A OKR-T/6 and the 10 A OKR-T/10-W12 are new additions to Murata Power Solutions' Okami family of non-isolated Point-of-Load (PoL) DC/DC power converters. The SIP packaged though-hole mounting miniature devices combine a wide input voltage range with programmable output voltage to give engineers a high degree of flexibility in their designs. Common, industry-standard pinouts helps simplify inclusion of the devices in both existing and new designs. Applications include the powering of ASICs, FPGAs, DSPs, microprocessors and communications ICs in both datacom and industrial equipment. Based on 600 kHz synchronous buck topology, the OKR-T/6 and the OKR-T/10-W12 offer high power conversion efficiencies of 93 percent and 92 percent respectively. Both modules are able to drive up to 200 µF capacitive loads. Output voltage is programmable from 0.591 V to 6.0 VDC, and the modules are able to operate from a wide input voltage range of 4.5 V to 14 VDC. The OKR-T/6 and the OKR-T/10-W12 offer desirable thermal derating performance and feature over temperature and over current protection, On/Off control, and under voltage lock out (UVLO).
