Atom-based Fanless Box PCs Have Energy Star Certification
The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech introduced its UNO-2173A and UNO-2173AF fanless box PCs with 1.6 GHz Atom-based CPUs. These models are equipped with Gigabit Ethernet ports, rich I/Os, one Mini-PCIe socket for WLAN and 3G solutions, and Moblin (Mobile Linux) support. Both have passed the Energy Star certification and also feature an IP40 anti-dust protection and a wide operating temperature (-20°C to 70°C) providing high performance with low power consumption. The UNO-2173A features a single-side I/O, one onboard DDR2 SDRAM, one Gigabit Ethernet port, one VGA, two RS-232, two USB ports, one internal printer port, one CompactFlash slot and one built-in 2.5” SATA HDD/SDD bracket for storage. The UNO-2173AF has dual side I/Os including all of the ports of the UNO-2173A, but also incorporating a LVDS port (low-voltage differential signaling), a backlight control port, 5.1 channel HD audio, an additional RS-422/485 port, three additional USB ports and one internal USB pin head. The UNO-2713A and UNO-2713AF provide various operating efficiency modes such as off, sleep and idle. According to the company, users can experience up to 50% reduced energy consumption through these devices.
