The ispClock 5400D device from Lattice Semiconductor & the SG-710 CMOS oscillator from Epson Toyocom is intended for SERDES applications such as XAUI or SDI Video. The devices have a low phase noise on-chip PLL that generates frequencies greater than 150 MHz.
The programmable output interface of the devices can drive multiple differential interface requirements such as LVDS or LVPECL. Additionally, each output can be individually configured for fan-out buffer (FOB) or zero-delay buffer (ZDB) operation. The ispClock5406D is priced at $2.95, while the SG-710 goes for $0.95.
