RFICs Designed for 4G base Stations

The ADRF660x series of mixers and ADRF670x series of modulators from Analog Devices are designed for LTE (long term evolution) and 4th generation (4G) cellular base stations. These RFICs (radio frequency integrated circuits) purportedly achieve a 60 percent reduction in board space.

The four ADRF670x products integrate an analog I/Q modulator, RF output switch, and PLL (phase locked loop) with integrated VCO (voltage controlled oscillator) in one RFIC. Features include: Internal LO Range from 790 MHz to 2,900 MHz, ± 3 dB RF Out Balun Range from 400 MHz to 3,000 MHz, and ± 1dB RF Out Balun Range from 550 MHz to 2,800 MHz. The 660x products integrate an active RF mixer; RF input balun for single- ended 50 ? input; and a PLL synthesizer with integrated VCO in RF circuit. Features include: Internal LO Range from 750 MHz to 3,600 MHz, ± 3 dB RF Out Balun Range from 300 MHz to 3,600 MHz, and ± 1dB RF Out Balun Range from 450 MHz to 3,200 MHz.
