LISTED UNDER:

ec97sa651awebUsing the I²C and SPI buses, the Freescale MPL115A digital pressure sensor communicates to the embedded system MCU in HDD systems to provide pressure information to optimize the pickup head ride height and maximize the performance and max capacity of the disk. The 3 mm x 5 mm x 1.2 mm LGA-packaged sensor also serves portable battery- and solar-powered applications with a current consumption of 1 µA in sleep mode and 5 µA in active mode. The MPL115A contains a temperature sensor, conditioning IC, an ADC, read-only memory (ROM) for coefficient storage, and an I²C/SPI slave interface.
