Using a spring pin (pogo) contactor with 20 gram actuation force per ball and cycle life of 500,000 insertions, the SS-QFE176SC-01 from Ironwood Electronics can test a QFP, 20-mm x 20-mm body size, 0.4-mm pitch with center E-pad and 22-mm x 22-mm lead tip-to-tip. The current capacity of each spring pin is 1.5 amps, and the socket temperature range is from -40°C to +120°C. From $2,462.
