Based on the PeakSwitch PKS607YN, the RDK-203 reference design kit from Power Integrations can create a dual-rail home theater audio amplifier power system with an audio power rating of up to 650 W. Providing a response time of 40 microseconds, the design can handle high-crest-factor, high-frequency audio signals. Additional features include active power management for sustained high-energy segments without large output capacitors as well as independent rail regulation.
