Attenuator Integrates Filter to Eliminate High Frequency

Wed, 04/08/2009 - 1:00pm

FiltenatorState of the Art (SOTA), Inc. has added the Filtenator  to its high frequency product line. This clean attenuator uses an integrated filter to eliminate high frequency signals. The cut-off frequency can be varied between 5.5 GHz and 8.5 GHz. Standard attenuation values are 1 dB, 3 dB, 6 dB, and 10 dB. VSWR for all four values is <1.5:1, with attenuation tolerance <±1 dB. Measuring 0.150" x 0.120" x 0.015", these devices are available with wire bondable or solderable terminations. The geometry of the Filtenator, including the dimensions of the termination pads, is kept identical to the company's standard 1512 attenuator. Pricing for the new component is under $1.90 in production quantities.
