SSLDs Enable Next-Gen LED Designs
Addressing the higher currents needed by the next generation of high brightness LEDs, the RCD-24-1.0 and RCD-24-1.2 solid-state lighting drivers (SSLD) from Recom are available in versions delivering up to 1,200 mA. The 22 × 12.5 × 8.5-mm devices require no external components, reducing the circuit footprint by up to 50%. Features include short circuit protection and thermal shutdown as well as independent PWM and Analog linear dimming inputs for operation by both computer-driven systems and those run by lighting controllers or rheostat dimmers. Both dimming inputs are and the dimming range cover 0%-100%, and the PWM input can also shut down the converter to draw 200 µA. The ambient operating temperature range is from -40°C to 71°C for the 1,000 mA version and -40°C to 65°C for the 1,200 mA version.
