Wed, 02/25/2009 - 8:22am

LISTED UNDER:

ADI AD8264Designed for PET scanners, communication systems, and advanced video equipment, Analog Device’s AD8264 quad-channel VGA (variable-gain amplifier) demonstrates a 24-dB gain range. The 40-lead LFCSP-packaged component has auxiliary differential ADC drivers operating with ADI’s data converters. The device’s pinout provides single-ended output taps directly from the VGAs, which have a -3 dB bandwidth of 235 MHz, and balanced outputs from the 80-MHz output amplifier. Each linear-in-dB VGA channel has independent gain control, and comprises a high-impedance preamplifier, a high-speed VGA, and a differential output amplifier. The unit offers a gain-control interface providing a 20-dB/V linear-in-dB scale; a common gain-control reference for all channels; a VOCM pin setting the common-mode voltage of the differential output stage; and power consumption of 125-mW per channel at ±3.3 V. Pricing is $11.95 in 1,000 quantities.
