Processor Consumes 85 µW/MHz
Designed to help achieve 32-bit performance at an 8-bit price point, ARM’s Cortex-M0 processor exhibits power consumption down to 85 µW/MHz in an area of <12K gates when using the ARM standard cell library on an 180ULL process. The CMSIS-compatible device is supported by the Keil MDK-ARM Microcontroller Development Kit, as well as third-party tool and RTOS vendors including CodeSourcery, Code Red, Express Logic, IAR Systems, Mentor Graphics, Micrium, and SEGGER. The unit’s low-power operation is said to be enhanced by implementations using the ARM Ultra High Density Standard Cell Library and ARM Power Management Kit (PMK). The component performs in low-power MCU and SoC applications, as well as the programmable mixed signal market.
