Serial SRAM Devices Utilize Four MCU Pins

Microchip 23X256/23X640Exhibiting bus speed of 20 MHz, Microchip Technology’s 23A640 and 23K640 (23X640) and 23A256 and 23K256 (23X256) 8-KB and 32-KB stand-alone serial SRAM devices use 4 MCU pins in their 8-pin SOIC, PDIP, or TSSOP packages. The 23A640 and 23A256 units have an operating voltage range from 1.70 V to 1.95 V, while the 23K640 and 23K256 units have an operating voltage range from 2.70 V to 3.60 V. The devices are suitable for applications involving bulk data transfers, DSP and other math algorithms (FFT and DFT); audio/video, speech encoding, VoIP, and Internet applications. Examples include applications in the consumer (Internet appliances, Internet radios, and printers), industrial (utility meters, vending machines), and medical markets (portable patient-monitoring devices).
