Available in versions with viewing angles of 15, 23, and 30 degrees, Avago’s HLMP-ELxx/EGxx series of 5-mm through-hole LEDs contain ultra-violet-a/b inhibitors and are suitable for use in both indoor and outdoor signage. The untinted, T-1 ¾-packaged emitters have a forward voltage from 2.1 to 2.4 V and provide either 626-nm red or 590-nm amber. The Pb-free and RoHS-compliant parts are available with or without lead-standoff, and have a typical output or 7,200 mcd (HMLP-ELxx) or 16,000 mcd (HMLP-EGxx).
