Programmable Oscillators Exhibit Low Power Consumption
Offering a start-up time of 3 ms, SiTime’s SiT8003, SiT8003XT, and SiT8033 programmable oscillators demonstrate typ. power consumption of <3.5 mA in active mode and <10 µA in standby mode. The devices can be programmed to operate at 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 2.8 V, or 3.3 V over frequencies from 1 MHz to 110 MHz with an rms jitter of <3 ps. The SiT8003 and two-frequency SiT8033 offer package footprints of 2.5 mm × 2 mm, 3.2 mm × 2.5 mm, 5 mm × 3.2 mm, and 7 mm × 5 mm, and frequency tolerances of ±25 ppm, ±30 ppm, ±50 ppm, and ±100 ppm. The 3530XT-packaged SiT8003XT presents a frequency tolerance of ±100 ppm in high-capacity SIM cards and consumer electronics. The oscillators are suitable for microprocessor, microcontroller, and serial I/O applications.
