ADCs Boast Improved Noise Performance
Operating in power-sensitive portable applications, Maxim Integrated Products’ MAX19505, MAX19506, and MAX19507 dual-channel, 8-bit, 65/100/130-Msps ADCs demonstrate a SNR of 49.8 dBFS and a SFDR of 69 dBc at 70 MHz. The 7-mm × 7-mm, 48-pin TQFN-packaged components exhibit analog power consumption per channel of 43 mW, 57 mW, and 74 mW, respectively. The devices include a self-sensing, analog supply regulator that allows the user to operate the parts from 1.8-V, 2.5-V, or 3.3-V analog supplies with no external regulator. The products offer single-ended or differential clock inputs, an input common-mode range from 0.4 V to 1.4 V, an on-board clock divider, and integrated CMOS output-termination resistors. The units are specified over a temperature range from -40°C to 85°C in ultrasound and medical imaging, portable instrumentation, and low-power data-acquisition systems.
