Video Buffer Draws Low Standby Current

TSH122 single-channel CVBS Composite Video Baseband Signal video buffer/filterAddressing power-conscious systems such as those in portable devices, the TSH122 video buffer IC from STMicroelectronics has an operating current of 1.7 mA and what is presented as the lowest standby current among comparable devices, 4 nA typical, 500 nA maximum. The input voltage range is from 2.2 to 5 V, and features include a differential gain of 0.5%, a differential phase of 0.5 degrees, and a group delay of 10 ns. Attenuation at 27 MHz is typically better than –36 dB, and the amplifier achieves gain flatness beyond 5.4 MHz. The single-channel CVBS (Composite Video Baseband Signal) device also has 6dB of internal gain, optimized for DC or AC coupling to a 75-Ohm cable. The input can be directly connected to the video DAC to send composite video to an external device. $0.5 each per 1,000 units.
