Ethernet Port Adapters Enable Wireless Connectivity
Suiting mobile, rotating, and temporary installations, connectBlue’s Rugged Bluetooth Ethernet Port Adapter (RBEPA) and Rugged Wireless LAN Ethernet Port Adapter (RWEPA) deliver wireless connectivity based on Bluetooth 2.0 and WLAN 802.11b/g technology, respectively. The units offer a built-in antenna with a half-globe radio coverage pattern; configuration via “button-push” method or Web configuration pages, and network communication via Ethernet interface (10/100BASE-T with automatic MDI/MDIX cross-over), IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, ARP, DHCP Client, DNS support, SNMP, and user management and access control. The RBEPA supports generic access profile (GAP), personal area networking profile (PAN), and PANU role. The RWEPA supports WEP64, WEP128, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, TKIP, CCMP (AES), and LEAP, as well as regulatory domain, power save control, defragmentation, and a range of up to 450 meters. The devices present an external input from 9 V to 30 V to trigger configurable events, industrial housing, and an operating temperature from -30°C to 85°C.
