Coaxial Resonator Oscillator Employs Frequency Doubling
Operating at 6,250 MHz, Crystek’s CVCO55CXT-6250-6250 coaxial resonator oscillator (CRO) uses frequency doubling for a typical phase noise of -100 dBc/Hz at 10-KHz offset, typical current consumption of 25 mA, and typical second harmonic suppression of -30 dBc. The 0.5” × 0.5” component exhibits tuning voltage from 0.5 VDC to 4.5 VDC, typical output power of 0 dBm into a 50-O load with a supply of 8 VDC, and pushing and pulling of 1.5 MHz/V and 0.5 MHz, respectively. The device is appropriate for digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems, and base stations. Pricing starts at $19.52 each in volume.
