Automotive Relays Endure High Temperatures
Offering solderability of 260°C for 5 seconds, CIT Relay & Switch’s A10 Series automotive relays withstand operating temperatures to 105°C. The immersion-cleanable devices offer SPST and SPDT contact arrangements and contact ratings of 25 A or 30 A at 14 VDC. The RoHS-compliant units offer contact resistance of <30 mO, max. switching power of 420 W, max. switching voltage of 28 VDC, max. switching current of 40 A (ON) and 30 A (OFF); limiting continuous current (NO/NC) of 30 A/25 A at 23°C and 25 A/20 A at 85°C; and coil voltages of 10 VDC and 12 VDC at 0.55 W. The devices have an electrical life of 100,000 cycles, mechanical life of 10 million cycles, min. insulation resistance of 100 MO at 500 VDC, min. coil-to-contact and contact-to-contact dielectric strength of 500 Vrms, and shock resistance of 300 m/s² for 6 ms with vibration resistance of 1.27 mm double amplitude.
