SSLDs Offer Current Control Options
Designed for larger LCD screens in reduced feature set cell phones and portable systems, AnalogicTech’s AAT3104 and AAT3195 four-channel charge pump-based SSLDs exhibit 16-step, 32-step, or PWM current control. The components drive up to 4 LEDs at up to 30 mA each with LED output current accuracy of ±10% and LED output current matching of ±3% while operating at a 1-MHz switching frequency. The AAT3104 automatically switches between a 1x and 2x mode, and controls LED brightness via a single-wire S²Cwire interface. The AAT3195 comes in 3 versions: the AAT3195-1 delivering 30 mA across 32 steps via S²Cwire interface; the AAT3195-2 supporting 20 mA across 32 steps via S²Cwire interface; and the AAT3195-3 with a PWM interface. The 2 mm × 2.1 mm 10-lead SC70JW-packaged drivers exhibit automatic soft-start, a low-current shutdown mode, and integrated thermal protection over a temperature from -40°C to 85°C.
