GUI Processor Chips Create User Interfaces
Supporting passive and active displays up to 24 bits-per-pixel, Amulet Technologies’ AGB75LC04-XX-X GUI processor chips consists of the hardware and software required for transforming an up to 12” color LCD and touch panel into a user interface. The components provides support for USB 2.0, TWI, UART, and SPI interfaces, and directly connects to 4- and 5-wire resistive touch panels. The units integrate a LCD controller, a power management controller, up to 39 general-purpose I/O lines, drag-and-drop GUI creation in HTML, and support for PNG, GIF, and JPEG image, as well as GIF animation. The devices exhibit a core voltage supply current of 22 mA at a nominal voltage of 1.2 V, an operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, 32-bit parallel interface SDRAM, AT45 Series Data Flash memory, and simultaneous program execution, LCD refresh, and frame buffer rendering.
