DC-DC Converters Reduce PCB Size
Designed for portable consumer electronics applications, a series of high-frequency, synchronous DC-DC converters from Diodes Incorporated offer switching frequencies that reduce circuit inductor and capacitor size, resulting in smaller PCBs. The converters feature typical efficiency of 94%, with a quiescent current of 150 µA. The AP6714 has an adjustable output voltage range of 1.8 V to 5.5 V, along with drive current of up to 1.4 A, and a 0.9 V to 5.5 V operating input voltage range. The AP6015 features a 2 V to 5.5 V input range, along with fixed output voltages of 1.8V, 2.5V or 3.3V, or an adjustable output voltage of 0.8V to Vin. The AP6714 is unit priced at $0.70 USD, and the AP6015 at $0.60 USD, each in quantities of 1,000.
