Controller ICs Target Capacitive Touch Apps
Adding to the PureTouch family, Leadis Technology’s LDS6003, LDS6005, LDS6023, LDS6025, and LDS6028 touch controller ICs perform in mobile and non-mobile capacitive touch applications. The 0.8 mm thick components operate at 1.8 V with power consumption of <200 µW, Strongest Touch Selection (STS) for inadvertent touch prevention; Threshold Individually Programmed (TIP), and Automatic Ambient Compression (AAC) for environmental response optimization. The 4 mm² 28-ld LDS6003 and LDS6005 offer 6 and 10 sensor inputs, respectively, with update rates of 2 ms per sensor input. The 5 mm² 40-ld LDS6023, LDS6025, and LDS6028 have 6, 10, and 15 sensor inputs, respectively, with update rates of 2 ms per sensor input and half of the inputs presenting configurability as SSLDs driving up to 8 mA with 32 dimming steps. The TQFN-packaged devices include SPI and I²C compatibility, a GPIO, and an interrupt output.
