LISTED UNDER:

Linear LT3972Protecting against overvoltage lockout transients up to 62 V, Linear Technology’s LT3972 3.5 A step-down switching regulator keeps quiescent current under 75 µA. The 3 mm² DFN-10- or MSOP-10E-packaged DC/DC converter provides an input voltage range from 3.6 V to 33 V and an output voltage range from 0.79 V to 30 V. The regulator utilizes a 4.6 A 95 mO switch with the necessary boost diode, oscillator, and control and logic circuitry while having a user-programmable switching frequency from 200 kHz to 2.4 MHz. The component offers output ripple of <15 mV via Burst Mode operation, external synchronization from 250 kHz to 2 MHz, power good flag, soft-start capability, and an operating junction temperature range from -40°C to 125°C. Pricing starts at $4.25 each in 1,000 quantities.
