RF Switch Contains Four TX Paths
Using UltraCMOS process technology, Peregrine Semiconductor’s PE42641 HaRP-enhanced SP4T RF switch presents 4 identical WEDGE- and CDMA-compliant TX paths while operating from DC to 3,000 MHz. The 3 mm × 3 mm × 0.75 mm QFN-packaged unit exhibits insertion loss of 0.45 dB at 1,000 MHz and 0.60 dB at 2,000 MHz, and isolation of 35 dB at 900 MHz and 29 dB at 1,900 MHz. The RoHS-compliant component integrates on-board CMOS control voltage with CMOS-compatible control interface, and requires no blocking capacitors. The switch includes an integrated decoder for 2-pin control accepting 1.80 V and 2.75 V levels, and shows series ON resistance of 4.5 Ohm. The tool suits antenna band switching and switchable matching networks for cellular and non-cellular mobile applications.
