Operating at 20 MHz video bandwidth, Anritsu’s ML2480B Series wideband peak power meters demonstrate a sampling rate of 64 MS/s in next-generation wireless and military communications signals. The tools measure average power, peak power, and crest factor, as well as statistical analysis of complex modulated signals. The ML2487B supports single sensor input, and the ML2488B supports dual sensor inputs to simultaneously monitor WLAN- and Bluetooth-enabled devices. The meters include an Ethernet remote control interface, preset of 18 predefined and configurable measurements, external video port supporting LCD and CRT monitors, and integration into PC-centric ATE racks controlled remotely via a LAN. The devices’ PowerMax remote GUI allows measurement results for up to 8 gates and up to 4 marker readings to be displayed simultaneously, as well as creating configuration tabs controlled from a PC. Result images and traces can be saved to a hard drive or a removable storage device. Pricing is $5,270 and $6,220.
