Coupler Functions in GaN MMIC Devices
Covering the 1,000 MHz to 2,500 MHz frequency range, Innovative Power Products’ Model IPP-4011 transforming 90º hybrid coupler combines 2 signals of up to 300 W CW total output power in GaN MMIC devices with 25 O input and output impedances. The 2.20” × 0.80” × 0.23” drop-in style-packaged device offers 2 ports at 50 O impedance and 2 ports at 25 O impedance. The impedance transformation takes place inside the coupler, allowing it to be used in mixed impedance systems. The 3 dB coupler exhibits insertion loss of <0.50 dB, phase balance is <±5º, VSWR is <1.30:1, amplitude balance is <±0.9 dB, and isolation of >14 dB. The instrument comes with solder tab connections.
