Battery Test System Targets Hybrid Vehicles
Powering via a DynoLAB EM controller, SAKOR Technologies’ Hybrid Vehicle Battery Test System functions in complex profiles and road load simulations. The instrument employs a line-regenerative DC power source, and absorbed power regenerates back to the AC mains during discharge modes. The system functions as a battery tester and a battery simulator, and the simulator output remains repeatable from cycle to cycle regardless of charge status. Integration with a HybriDyne hybrid driveline dynamometer creates a system capable of testing complete hybrid drivelines and subsystems with or without actual batteries in circuit. The device offers voltages of up to 1,000 VDC, system sizes from ±200 A to ±2,400 A (continuous), and overload current of up to 200% of the rated current.
