Sensing Chip Resistor Offers Low Absolute TCR
Using Z-Foil technology, Vishay Intertechnology’s VCS1625Z SMT current sensing chip resistor demonstrates an absolute TCR of ±0.05 ppm/°C from 0°C to 60°C and ±0.20 ppm/°C from -55°C to 125°C with a 25°C ref. The device exhibits power coefficient ("?R due to self heating") of ±5 ppm at rated power, a tolerance of ±0.20%, and load-life stability of ±0.020% at 70°C for 2,000 hours at rated power. The resistor offers a 0.500 W power rating at 70°C, current noise of <-40 dB, thermal EMF of 0.05 µV/°C, a non-inductive (<0.08 µH), non-capacitive design, and a 4-Kelvin connection. The component presents a rise time of 1 ns without ringing, ESD withstanding exceeding 25 kV, resistance range from 0.300 O to 10 O, and optimization for EEE-INST-002 and MIL-PRF 55342 screening.
