Having VGA resolution, NEC LCD Technologies’ NL6448BC18-01 and NL6448BC18-01F 5.7” amorphous-silicon TFT LCD modules contain a face-mounted white LED backlight system. The system reduces power consumption to 1.8 W at 400 cd/m² brightness and 3.3 W at 800 cd/m² brightness, respectively. The components exhibit density of 140 pixels/in., horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 160°, and an 18 ms response time. The displays operate with a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 in a temperature range from -20°C to 70°C.
