Using "Z- foil" technology to reduce sensitivity to ambient temperature variations and applied power changes, the VSA101 axial Bulk Metal resistor improves stability by up to an order of magnitude compared to other resistor technologies. Features include an absolute TCR of ±0.05 ppm/°C from 0°C to +60°C and ±0.2ppm/°C from -55°C to +125°C and a PCR ("?R due to self heating") of ±5 ppm at rated power, and a tolerance of ±0.005%. Available in a resistance range from 5 O to 100 kO, the device's construction consists of silicone rubber encapsulation that isolates the resistive element from external stresses, while its mold case protects against environmental conditions. Additional features include a load-life stability of ±0.005% for 2,000 hours at +70°C at rated power, a voltage coefficient of less than 0.1 PPM/V, a current noise of less than -40 dB, and a thermal EMF of 0.05 µV/°C.
