LED Panels Incorporate Direct Die Attachment Technology

american DDAProviding direct die attachment (DDA) technology, American Bright’s family of 5W or 10W LED panels has typical flux ratings of 800 lumens and 300 lumens, respectively. The Y-bin 10W module has a forward voltage of 36V DC at 320 mA and will typically produce 800 lumens, creating a luminous efficiency of 80 lumens per watt (lm/W).  The Z-bin 10W device will produce 1100 lumens, creating a luminous efficiency of over 110 lm/W. The DDA technology allows for the placement of the LED die directly into cavities that are contained within the thermal interface. The die are glued down within the cavities, wire bonded, phosphor-treated and then encapsulated, all within the panel. The DDA modules provide a light source that is said to create a “solid block of light”, a viewing angle of 120° and a maximum operating temperature ranging from -20°C to +60°C. Color temperatures range from neutral white (4500K) to cool white (7000K).
