Servo Motor Drives Large Loads with 4.5A Input
Suited for driving large flywheel loads without additional gearing, the QCI-A34L-1 servo motor can handle inertial miss-matches as great as 100:1. Providing a 185 oz-in (1.3Nm) of continuous torque, 260 oz-in (1.8Nm) of peak torque, and 100W of continuous mechanical power from an input of 4.5A, the motor can operate at speeds of up to 2000 RPM. Features include an 8000 count/rev encoder and the ability to use a single cable for both motor and encoder signals using output from a device such as the included 2.75” (70 mm) × 3.00” (76 mm) SilverDust D2 48V controller. The 34L-1 has a list price of $395 (OEM 500 piece $259) and a system cost, including motor, cable and controller; starting at $950 (OEM 500 piece system $635).
