High Accuracy Resistance Temperature Detector Simulator
Pickering Interfaces introduced its Model 40-262 high accuracy resistance temperature detector simulator that is an 18-channel variable resistor module designed to simulate the operation of PT100 and PT1000 RTDs with resolution and accuracy in the PXI form factor. The detector provides an accuracy of more than 0.1 percent for all resistance settings, allowing RTDs to be simulated with accuracy. It uses a design principal that combines fine and coarse control mechanisms in combination with a calibration system to achieve its performance. The requested resistance value is provided by the use of resistance calls (in ohms) to the module instead of the alternative approaches which are based on setting patterns of relay settings.
