LISTED UNDER:

AFE5805Presenting a complete analog signal chain solution designed for portable ultrasound systems, Texas Instruments' AFE5805 integrated analog front end (AFE) delivers as much as a 50 percent space savings with up to 20 percent lower power consumption and 40 percent less noise than existing integrated solutions. Presented as the smallest device of its type and the first in the AFE58xx family of devices, the AFE reduces component count to decrease power consumption by up to 20 percent and offers 40 percent less noise than similar devices as well as a noise level of 0.85 nV/rtHz at 2 MHz. The 15 mm × 9 mm device integrates eight channels of a low-noise amplifier, voltage controlled attenuator, programmable gain amplifier, low-pass filter, and 12-bit, 50MSPS ADC with LVDS data outputs. Support materials include evaluation modules, data sheet downloads, and free samples for fast and cost-effective evaluation to help speed the design process. From $75 each in 100-unit quantities.
