Keystone Electronics Corp. is offering a series of advanced, miniaturized, high speed USB plug and socket interconnects which accommodate accelerated wideband applications for computer and electronic devices. With data transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps, these universal serial bus connectors interface with peripherals at three- to five-times the speed of parallel types plus 20- to 40-times faster than serial port connections for: mouse/keyboards, MP3 players, digital cameras, DVD players, cable modems, LANs, and audio visual equipment, according to the company. Designed to withstand greater than 1,500 mating cycles, Keystone’s “mini” USB Socket (Cat. No. 934TR) surface mounts and is provided on tape and reel. Gold-plated contacts help assure low contact resistance and high reliability. Insulators are UL approved per 94V-0. A mini plug version (Cat. No. 935) is also available for creating standard and custom USB cable assemblies.
