General-Purpose I/O Card for Motion Control
Mesa Electronics' 7I43A general-purpose, programmable I/O card connects to host computers via USB or PC parallel ports and can be a basis for applications such as simple GPIO, smart motion control (SoftDMC), host motion control (HostMot2), buffered step / direction generation, and as a waveform generator. The 7I43 is available with a 200K or 400K Xilinx Spartan3 FPGA for all logic. It also has has local configuration storage via onboard EEPROM. It uses 3.3V or external 5V, has 48 I/O bits on two 50-pin connectors, and is compatible with Mesa's 7-series daughter cards for isolated I/O, motion control, RS-422 interface, and more. The cards cost $59 (200K version) and $67.00 (400K version).
