Pepperl+Fuchs introduced a family of ultrasonic thru-beam proximity sensors for splice, label and double sheet detection. Each system is 18 mm in diameter, and it features teach-in input modes for easy set-up and operation with a detection threshold that is adjustable for each application. The sensors are IP67 protected and they provide a sensing range from 20 mm to 60 mm, with an optimal sensing range of 45 mm. These detectors are insensitive to printing, colors and glossy surfaces. Changes in ambient conditions are compensated for automatically with high processing speeds.
