PCB Terminal Blocks for High Power Applications
OKW Electronics has launched the CTB77 series high power PCB terminal blocks from Camden Electronics. These have been designed for heavy duty applications such as energy management, industrial heating and ventilation, and machine controllers. The terminal blocks can handle high currents of up to 57A. They are molded in gray UL94 V-0 flame retardant PA66, and are available in 2 and 3 pole interlocking types, and solid versions from 4 to 12 poles. The 2 and 3 pole models feature a double interlocking mechanism for increased strength. The standard pitch is 10.16 mm. Technical specifications include current rating of 57A/750V (UL 40A/300V) with insulation resistance 5 MO, dielectric strength 3kV/60s and 8 AWG (10mm²) cable entry. The terminals are assembled with a professional zinc plated steel rising clamp mechanism, which has guided pin alignment to ensure reliable wire connection. The solder contacts are 5µ tin plated nickel while the captive M4 screws are 7µ zinc plated steel. The operating temperature range is -20°C to +125°C. The terminals blocks which have international approvals including UL, cUL, IMQ and VDE.
