LISTED UNDER:

Avago Technologies announces its model APDS-9007 ambient light sensor with a logarithmic output response over a range of lighting conditions that covers a range of brightness from 3 lux to 70 K lux, making it suitable for mobile applications as well as outdoor lighting and solar panels which may be operated under direct sunlight. Designed to closely follow the human-eye spectral response curve, the sensor reduces power consumption and saves battery life in portable and mobile devices by enabling the auto adjustment of the LCD backlight intensity and keypad lighting. Packaged in a miniature chipLED lead-free surface mount package, it sustains temperature ranges of -40°C to +85°C and Vcc supplies from 2V to 3.6V.
