Tool for Network Infrastructure 2.0 Supports Intel Core Microarchitecture
VirtualLogix announced VLX for Network Infrastructure 2.0. This newest version of VLX for Network Infrastructure offers a host of new features and capabilities, including enhanced availability and increased OS and platform support, while using the latest hardware from Intel, including support for the Intel NetStructure MPCBL0050 Single Board Computer an AdvancedTCA (ATCA) blade server based on the Intel Core microarchitecture. These features expand the opportunity for manufacturers to deploy real-time virtualization technology anywhere that Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) or high throughput is needed. This tool enables customers to run commercial or proprietary RTOS and Linux simultaneously on the same multi-core processor, and it allow mix-and-match 32 or 64 bit, symmetric multi-processor or uni-processor combinations of real-time operating systems such as MontaVista Carrier Grade Linux and VxWorks with general purpose operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux or UNIX. VirtualLogix performance-focused architecture ensures that all guest-OSes retain fast and predictable response and I/O throughput.
