Uniting multiple protocols onto 1 card, Data Device Corporation’s BU-65590A multi-I/O AMC card provides up to 4 dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 channels operating in BC,RT, MT or RT/MT modes; 8 ARINC 429 receive channels; and 4 ARINC 429 transmit channels. The component maintains 6 user-programmable digital discrete I/Os, 2 RS-232/422/485 serial I/O channels, and an IRIG-B time synchronization input. The card has a PCI-E back end interface and front panel I/O via a micro-miniature D connector. Each 1553 channel supports 1 MB RAM with parity per 1553 channel, 48-bit/1 us time tag and built-in self tests. A hardware offload engine provides low host CPU utilization while storing 1553 Monitor data in a IRIG-106 Chapter 10 format.
